The Croft Residential Home was established in 1990 and quickly built a reputation for quality care in luxury and intimate surroundings with residents and their families as well as healthcare professionals and the local community.
Situated within the heart of Finchfield, The Croft is a charming period property originally dating from the 1890’s. The luxurious accommodation has been purpose built to the highest standards and designed to create maximum independence for both residential and short stay residents in a homely and friendly atmosphere. A wide variety of local shops and facilities including churches, a library and a park are a few moments walk away.
We are committed to providing quality care and comfort for our 24 residents in a warm, friendly and family oriented atmosphere while maintaining the security of full assistance and support whenever it is needed.
Our fully trained care team, chosen for their experience, warmth and kindness, are conscious to promote the independence and dignity of residents at all times.

Service Description

The Croft’s Manager is Miss June Bridget West. Miss West’s qualifications include NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care and her experience includes a number of years in the role of Senior Care, Community Care Coordinator with a combined total of more than 20 years of care experience.
Supporting the Manager is our Deputy Manager, Mrs. Patricia Forshaw and a team of dedicated and widely experienced Senior Care Assistants, who are NVQ qualified and trained in the safe handling of medicines and First Aid, Care Assistants maintain a high standard of individualised personal care. In addition there are a team of cooks who provide an excellent variety of home cooked meals catering for individual preferences and a team of housekeepers who maintain a high standard of cleanliness within The Croft. The property and grounds are maintained by The Croft’s gardener and maintenance person.

Policy

Our aim is to maintain individualism and dignity to enhance the quality of life of all residents living at The Croft. We provide a safe manageable and comfortable environment, offering support and stimulation and helping to maximise potential whether it be in a physical, intellectual or in a social capacity. All residents are encouraged to maintain social contact within The Croft’s environment and links with friends and relatives. We welcome visitors within the home at any reasonable hour. The Croft’s activities department arranges outings and regular indoor activities to bring enjoyment and mental stimulation. The personal preferences and individual views of residents are sought when organising activities. We may make a small charge associated with some social activities and services.
